T-Mobile bungled forced plan migration, canceling some users' free lines

According to Ars Technica, T-Mobile admitted Thursday to a bungled forced migration that accidentally canceled free-line promotions for some longtime subscribers. The company is charging many customers an extra six dollars per line as part of the plan changes, and losing those free lines could raise bills significantly. T-Mobile says it was a technical error and is working to fix it—though telecom customers often struggle to get resolutions even after a company admits to a mistake.
