Wireless LCD Streaming for the ANENG AN870 Multimeter
tech
A maker has developed a wireless system to capture and display a digital multimeter's readings on a computer. The ANENG AN870 normally has no network capability, so the solution involved installing a custom circuit board inside to tap into the LCD signals. Hackaday reports that an RP2040 microcontroller and HC-12 transceiver on the meter wirelessly transmit the display data to an ESP32-C3 receiver, which makes it available over WiFi. The open-source project on GitHub could serve as a reference for similar hardware modifications.
