Rocket Report: India's Vikram-1 nears debut flight; AST to become rocket company?

India's commercial space industry is reaching a major milestone. Ars Technica reports that Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram-1 is set for launch on July eighteenth, aiming to become the first commercially developed Indian rocket to reach orbit. The rocket can carry small satellites weighing up to three hundred fifty kilograms into orbit at an altitude of four hundred fifty kilometers.
