Meta trying to destroy whistleblower Sarah Wynn-Williams, US senator says

A Republican senator has accused Meta of waging legal warfare against a whistleblower. The Guardian reports that Josh Hawley sent a letter to Mark Zuckerberg demanding to know what measures Meta took to monitor Sarah Wynn-Williams — the company's former global head of public policy — and her family. Wynn-Williams had publicly alleged that Meta was mishandling its relationship with China and failing to protect teenagers on its platforms. Hawley charges that Meta is using expensive litigation to destroy her — what he calls 'lawfare' designed to silence critics.
