Per Adafruit, a new Raspberry Pi project lets you display recent bird observations from your neighborhood on a wall-mounted e-ink display. Created by Henry Sowell, the system queries iNaturalist for local sightings within a configurable distance and timeframe, then shows photos and field journal images on a thirteen-point-three-inch Pimoroni Inky Impression screen. New species discoveries go through a verification pipeline before being cached and rotated on the display. The controller runs on a Raspberry Pi 4 or existing computer, while the wall display uses a smaller Pi Zero 2 W.
