Cyclospora: iceberg lettuce recalled in 27 states and more products may follow

The Guardian reports that Taylor Farms has recalled potentially contaminated shredded iceberg lettuce across twenty-seven states, with some products distributed as recently as Thursday. Cases of cyclosporiasis, a parasitic infection spread through contaminated food, are continuing to rise in the US. Health officials expect at least two more weeks of new cases as the investigation expands—and additional contaminated products may surface in the days ahead.
