According to Adafruit Blog, CircuitPython boards can now run their own Model Context Protocol server. A new library brings full MCP JSON-RPC support directly to single-board computers using Adafruit's HTTP server framework. The microcontroller handles the protocol work itself through standard HTTP endpoints, while the host computer only manages deployment, logs, and testing. This opens new possibilities for AI-assisted development workflows on embedded systems.
