First US soldiers killed in Jordan, Trump vows to shift action

Two American service members have been killed and a third is missing after an Iranian attack on a US base in Jordan, France 24 reports. These are the first deaths from hostile fire since a truce with Iran took hold in early April, and they follow a week of the heaviest fighting since the conflict began in February. France 24 says Saturday also marked the eighth consecutive night of US strikes on Iran, with Iranian media reporting explosions in several coastal cities. President Trump has vowed to shift the American response as days of escalating exchanges hit military and civilian sites across the region.
