The Trump administration says its mission in the war with Iran has shifted toward keeping oil flowing, even as pressure mounts over how long the conflict has dragged on. Speaking on ABC's This Week, energy secretary Chris Wright defended the strategy after being reminded of his earlier prediction that the war, which began in February, would already be over. The Guardian reports that the deaths of two more American troops in Jordan have brought the total number of US military members killed in the conflict to sixteen, following months of promised diplomatic breakthroughs and short-lived ceasefires. One Democrat has branded it a war of choice.
