Wildfire scorches 12,000 hectares in central Spain's Guadalajara province

Spain is battling yet another major wildfire, this one burning through more than twelve thousand hectares of land north of Madrid in the Guadalajara province. France 24 reports that local authorities said on Sunday the blaze had forced hundreds of people to evacuate. It adds to an already punishing season: earlier this month, one of the country's deadliest wildfires on record broke out in the south, and firefighters are still working to contain a separate fire that ignited in the northeast on Wednesday.
