‘Music From the Big House’ Frees Blues, Soul and Gospel from the Walls of Angola Prison

Per The Marshall Project, a music project brings blues, soul, and gospel from incarcerated musicians at Angola Prison to the public. Standouts include a version of Lead Belly's 'Midnight Special,' performed by an ensemble led by filmmaker Rita Chiarelli and recorded inside the prison.
