The source code for the Apollo 11 Command and Lunar Modules

tech

Per Adafruit Blog, the original guidance computer source code for Apollo 11 is now publicly available on GitHub, digitized by the Virtual AGC team and MIT Museum. The repository contains the complete source code for both the Command Module and Lunar Module guidance computers, released under public domain. Originally written by Margaret H. Hamilton and her team in the nineteen-sixties, this code powered humanity's first moon landing. The repository welcomes pull requests to verify transcription accuracy or recover any files that may have been missed, making this critical piece of computing history freely accessible for study and preservation.
