A dinghy carrying one hundred seventy-three people capsized in the English Channel after its engine caught fire during an attempted crossing from France, The Guardian reports. What followed was a major air and sea rescue operation, with UK border security and French vessels joined by an RNLI lifeboat pulling people from the water. All those onboard are thought to have been taken to Boulogne.
