Ile-de-France region files suit for compensation over Fontainebleau forest fire

The Ile-de-France regional council has filed a civil lawsuit over the recent Fontainebleau forest fire, per RFI. The blaze destroyed more than two thousand hectares of forest south of Paris, and authorities have opened a criminal investigation into the fire's cause, with France's national forestry office reporting significant environmental damage.
