Plum Creek Bridge in Luling, Texas

other

The Plum Creek Bridge in Luling, Texas, is a nineteen thirty-one relic, per Atlas Obscura — built by the Virginia Bridge and Iron Company. It carried traffic between Luling and Gonzales for over six decades, until concrete bridges bypassed it in nineteen ninety-five. Today, the historic truss structure draws visitors for photography, bird watching, hiking, and biking, remaining open year-round from a parking area northwest of the Best Western on Highway one eighty-three.
