Qatar criticises Israeli 'foot-dragging' over Gaza deal

Qatar's foreign ministry has accused Israel of "foot-dragging" on implementing the US-brokered Gaza peace plan, according to Middle East Eye. Spokesperson Majed al-Ansari, speaking at a weekly briefing, credited Hamas with a "breakthrough" after it announced on Monday it would honor its side of the agreement. The rebuke follows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's rejection of the ceasefire on Sunday, a rare public break with President Trump, even as the US insisted Monday that the deal remains in effect.
