NASA Student Aviation Challenge Focuses on Nation’s Infrastructure

According to NASA News, the agency’s new student aviation challenge asks collegiate teams to devise airborne ways to inspect bridges, tunnels and other key infrastructure by the year twenty-thirty-five. NASA News reports that up to eight finalist teams will each receive nine thousand dollars and the opportunity to intern at the Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. Per NASA News, participants must submit a proposal and a two-minute video by February twenty-twenty-seven, with final presentations scheduled for May twenty-twenty-seven. The competition offers students a direct path to influence how future infrastructure stays safe and resilient.
