Phys.org reports that researchers at Tampere University have developed a hydrogel platform that uses vitamin B2 and blue light to simplify the creation of living tissue models. The plug-and-play crosslinking technology allows biological molecules such as proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids to be incorporated under gentle, cell-friendly conditions. The work is published in the journal Cell Reports Physical Science.
