Iran’s new security chief says neighbours who join US economic war will be considered ‘enemies’

world

Iran's new security chief, Mohsen Rezaei, has warned neighboring countries that they will be viewed as enemies if they participate in United States efforts to pressure Tehran's economy. As The Guardian reports, Rezaei told state television that Iran would target oil-shipping routes in the Gulf as alternatives to the strait of Hormuz. He further threatened American commercial interests in the region, coinciding with claims from Donald Trump that the strait of Hormuz is a United States territory.
