India launches rescue operation as bulk carrier sinks off east coast

The Indian Coast Guard has launched a search and rescue mission after a Panama-flagged cargo vessel sank off India's east coast. Per Dawn, the ship, known as the Ocean Winner, was transporting iron ore to Singapore when it went down roughly two hundred forty nautical miles from Paradip port. Two people have been rescued from life rafts, but twenty-two crew members remain missing. The cause of the sinking is currently unknown.
