Apple's new desktop computers are designed specifically for local AI development

Ars Technica reports that on Tuesday, Apple announced new versions of the Mac mini and Mac Studio, along with two new chips: the M six, the first two-nanometer chip in Apple's M-series lineup, and the M five Ultra, now the most powerful chip for most tasks, especially AI workloads. The desktops have become popular for local AI inference and development thanks to their unified memory architecture and fast CPUs and GPUs. The new machines are designed specifically for local AI development, according to Ars Technica.
