Starbase’s future production capacity ramping up
tech
SpaceX is ramping up production at its Starbase facility to support a higher launch cadence for the Starship rocket. NASASpaceflight reports that several vehicles are moving through the pipeline, including Ship 42, which is preparing for cryogenic testing, and Booster 22, which is fully stacked. The site is also introducing new hardware, such as a horizontal break-over jig designed to rotate boosters for transport to Florida. Long-term capacity is expected to jump significantly as the company completes the Gigabay facility and installs the massive bridge cranes needed for vertical assembly.
