Armbian 26.8 released

tech

LWN.net reports that the Armbian distribution for ARM hardware has reached version twenty-six point eight. The update bundles three notable changes that arrived together: a rewritten installer, Armbian Imager version two point zero, and a relocation of the continuous‑integration system out of the main repository. The new installer is now provided as an armbian‑config module, meaning it is unit‑tested like the rest of armbian‑config, can target SPI and MTD storage, handles eMMC and NVMe as separate flows, can flash a bootloader independently, and reports write failures instead of silently completing. For a full rundown of the improvements, the release notes are available.
