Australia's lizards and snakes disappearing faster than previously thought

Phys.org reports that a new review led by Monash University researchers finds around one hundred twenty‑seven species—just over thirteen percent—of Australia’s terrestrial lizards and snakes are now likely threatened with extinction. That figure is almost double previous estimates, indicating a far more precarious future for the continent’s reptile diversity.
