NASA Science reports that the European Space Agency’s XMM-Newton X‑ray observatory has opened its twenty‑sixth Announcement of Opportunity, inviting researchers to submit observation proposals. The call, which runs until noon Coordinated Universal Time on Friday, October ninth, 2026, includes joint programs with facilities such as the Very Large Telescope, the Hubble Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope, as well as other X‑ray missions like Chandra and NuSTAR. Proposers may also request coordinated time with ground‑based arrays like the Very Large Array and the Green Bank Telescope. The deadline is October ninth, 2026, at twelve noon UTC.
