French Foreign Legion soldier kidnapped in Colombia

Colombia's military says a French-Colombian soldier serving in the French Foreign Legion was kidnapped in early August while traveling through the southern department of Narino. According to France 24, the suspected captors belong to the Estado Mayor Central, a dissident faction of the former FARC guerrilla group. The announcement came Thursday, weeks after the abduction reportedly took place.
