Fat Tire Brakes Get Wireless Upgrade
tech
A hobbyist known as Berm Peak has developed a wireless braking system for a fat tire bicycle, replacing traditional cables and hydraulics with electronic controls. As Hackaday tells it, the setup uses ESP32 microcontrollers and car door lock actuators to trigger the brakes. The wireless design allows for advanced features like an anti-lock braking system and a remote kill-switch to slow down children's bikes from a distance.
