AJK PM vows to restore internet, road links in days

Dawn reports that Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Barrister Iftikhar Gillani announced he will restore internet access in schools within the next few days and lift road closures to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa within one or two days. He also said his administration is preparing a policy to mitigate the losses faced by businesses in Mirpur during the recent shutdown. The premier stressed that getting connectivity back and reopening transport links is vital for both students’ education and local commerce. If the promises are fulfilled, classrooms can resume online lessons and traders will be able to move goods across provincial borders without hindrance.
