Russia fired over 2,800 drones at Ukraine in August amid war tactic change

France 24 reports that over the month of August, Russia launched more than two thousand eight hundred jet‑propelled drones at Ukraine, a type that is harder to shoot down. Ukrainian officials say the new models are pressed into service almost immediately after leaving the factory, driving a massive uptick in drone usage on the front lines. Oliver Farry notes that Russia is deploying these drones in an effort to change the course of the war.
