Georgia teen to appear in plea hearing over 2024 school shooting that killed four people

world

A teenager charged in a 2024 school shooting in Georgia is set to change his plea later this month. The Guardian reports that Colt Gray, now sixteen, is accused of killing two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School and had pleaded not guilty to fifty-five criminal counts. Court documents filed in Barrow County show he is expected to enter a non-negotiated plea at a hearing on July twenty-fourth, where the court is scheduled to handle both the plea and sentencing.
