Norway commends Pakistan's 'constructive role' in US-Iran conflict

world

Norway's Foreign Minister arrived in Islamabad for his first high-level visit in a decade, commending Pakistan's efforts to mediate between the United States and Iran. The delegation-level talks, per Dawn, covered bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, climate change, and education, with Norwegian companies increasingly interested in Pakistan's energy and fertilizer sectors. The Norwegian minister, Espen Barth Eide, praised Pakistan's leadership for stepping into what he described as an 'incredibly dangerous' conflict threatening global stability and the world economy. He offered Norway's experience in peace negotiations and its open channels to both Washington and Tehran to support Pakistan's diplomatic efforts.
