Electron beams cut poultry pathogens while preserving turkey quality

A new study in Poultry Science examines electron beams for controlling foodborne pathogens in poultry, per Phys.org. The technology, called eBeam, is nonthermal and works by using high-energy electron beams to cause irreparable damage to pathogen DNA.
