China sentences former local official to death in $324m corruption case

According to Al Jazeera English, a Chinese court has sentenced Yang Youlin, a former official in the eastern city of Nanjing, to death in a corruption case involving some three hundred twenty-four million dollars, finding that he accepted bribes in exchange for business favors.
