Qatar says Iran fully responsible after tankers struck in strait of Hormuz
world
According to The Guardian, three tankers, including a Qatari liquefied natural gas carrier, were struck in the Strait of Hormuz within hours of each other near Oman. The strikes follow a maritime dispute: Oman had proposed a new shipping corridor along its coast, but Iran opposes the route, wanting to maintain its ability to charge ships passing through the waterway. Qatar is holding Iran fully responsible for the incidents.
