Trump gives Zelenskyy vague promise of licence to manufacture Patriot missiles
world
According to The Guardian, Donald Trump has told Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Ukraine may be allowed to manufacture Patriot missile interceptors to help counter Russian ballistic attacks. Kyiv has been struggling against Moscow's growing missile threat, so a licence to build the system itself would be a diplomatic coup. But Trump's commitment was vaguely framed. He admitted he had not yet spoken to Lockheed Martin or RTX Corporation, the American companies that make the Patriot, and it remains unclear how quickly production of the expensive, complex munitions could actually be scaled up.
