Khamenei successor has yet to be seen as ex-ayatollah's funeral comes to a close

According to France 24, the United States and Iran have resumed strikes, raising fears of a slide back into full-scale war. The renewed fighting coincides with Iran's burial of Ayatollah Khamenei, who was killed alongside close family members on February twenty-eighth, the opening day of the US-Israeli war against the Islamic republic. As a marathon six days of funeral ceremonies drew to a close, observers watched for any sign of his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, named as his successor but not yet seen in public since the appointment.
